Uniform
The purpose of the uniform and dress code is to ensure that pupils are ready to learn, demonstrate respect for learning and school, and are equal in the school community.
At Folkestone Academy we believe that a school uniform is also important because:
It looks smart and contributes to a sense of belonging
It fosters a sense of pride
It gives a common identity

We require that parents co-operate with us in adhering to the Academy uniform policy (found with the Behaviour & Exclusion policy). We require our children present themselves as smart, capable members of our community with high expectations of themselves and each other.
We ask that all pupils wear full uniform every day and we encourage learners to maintain a good standard of clean and tidy dress for school.
Please note that long-sleeved under-garments must not be worn under uniform.
Every term we get left with a large amount of lost property that is UNNAMED – please make sure everything your child wears is named so that we can get it back to them when they lose it.
