Work Experience

GW Work Experience Flyer 2017

It can be difficult to decide what you want to do when you leave school if you haven’t had much experience of the different types of work that are out there. How can you know if you’d enjoy working in an office if you’ve never set foot in one, or if you’d like to work as an accountant when you have no idea what an accountant does?

Work experience is a great way to gain experience in and understanding of different work environments and careers. It allows you the opportunity to meet people who do the job you are considering, and to get an idea of what a day in the life of that person is like.

If you are a student in our Sixth Form then you are able to request work experience at any time by getting in contact with Miss Hedley for Year 12 and Miss Jenkinson for Year 13, who will help you to find and apply for work experience.

All Sixth Form students are encouraged to take on regular voluntary projects or work experience placements, and we are happy to help in coordinating this.
