Foale House Overview
Foale House is an incredibly friendly, supportive and caring House. We are also known to be a little crazy at times! We work very hard, and have a strong competitive spirit, winning Sports Day twice and coming second three times, and winning the House Music Competition for the past two years. We will always give 100% effort to everything we do, from sport, to music, to all our lessons, to making new students welcome, and to making our House look beautiful and inviting at all times. We always have a big smile on our faces, and are keen to get involved in anything.
Our House patron is Michael Foale. Michael is a British astronaut who was born in Lincolnshire, however he was educated at King’s School in Canterbury. He studied physics at Cambridge, before moving to Texas where he now lives with his family. In 1987 he was selected as a candidate for NASA, and has spent 374 days, 11 hours, 19 minutes in space, notably overcoming immense danger during on Mir in 1997 when his spaceship was hit by another vessel. He was the first Briton to perform a spacewalk, and has spent over 374 days in space.
We are very proud to have Michael Foale as our patron, and hope that he can visit us next time he is in the UK.
